Jim Mullins is a writer, editor, and photographer who lives in Paris with his wife – fiction writer Alice Boatwright – and their cats, Chocolat and Cocoa. Jim writes primarily about science and medicine and for many years was the Managing Editor of The American Journal of Medicine.

He is involved in public health issues in Asia and Africa and, under the auspices of the World Health Organization, authored Research for Action: Understanding and Controlling Tuberculosis in India and Putting Research and Policy into Action: The Experience of the Malawi National Tuberculosis Programme. Jim is an award-winning photographer, editor and publisher of books, annual reports, journals, and newsletters.
